San Diego Yoga - BKS Iyengar Yoga Centers for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Students

The Place:

Pura Vida Spa is a lush mountain top retreat sporting panoramic vistas over the scenic valley of San Jose.

The Yoga:

Wake up and do yoga in the morning and still have time to enjoy the day. Relax in the evenings with a specially tailored asana & pranayama class. Two teachers for the price of one! Mary & Eddy will both attend each class so you will get plenty of attention.

Activities:

Visit San Jose for the art galleries & shops. Hike to the waterfalls, go river rafting or try one of the many eco tours. Have a massage, enjoy the many spa treatments, sit by the pool, soak in the jacuzzi or just read and relax in the hammocks.

Accommodations & Fees:

Includes 3 meals a day, yoga and accommodations**.

The Teachers:

Mary and Eddy are known for their clarity, humor, and special capacity to connect with their students. They tailor their teaching to your ability and needs and enjoy bringing the philosophy of yoga to life in their classes.

They study with the Iyengars in India 2 months each year and also stayed for a year of study in 2003. They are senior certified Iyengar instructors. Eddy holds a degree in exercise physiologist from UCLA and Mary attended the invitation only 1991 backbend intensive.

Food:

3 meals a day included.

Getting There:

Fly into San Jose, Costa Rica airport. You will be met at the airport and taken to Pura Vida Spa.

Weather:

70 - 80 degrees F during the day with mild nights.
