YOGA Vacation in Kauai              The Place:Kalaheo Yoga Center on the sunny South side of Kauai. The Yoga:Wake up, do yoga in the morning and still have time to enjoy the day. Relax in the evenings with a specially tailored restorative asana & pranayama class. Two teachers for the price of one! Mary & Eddy will co-teach each class so you will get plenty of attention.

Activities:Whether active or lounging is your preferred vacation vacation mode, Kauai has something for everyone. Stretch out on the beach with a good book, have a massage, eat at one of the many Zagat & Fromer's rated restaurants, snorkel, snuba or scuba in the warm Kauaian waters or go see the 'blowhole', hike or horseback to crystalline waterfalls, golf, zip-line, whalewatch or take a kayak trip up the tranquil Wailua river to the fern grotto or coast, take a sunset dinner cruise to Kauai's beautiful and famous Na Pali coast. Visit Hanalei Bay selected as the #1 beach in 2009 by "Dr Beach". This is also where the movies Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, King Kong, South Pacific and more than 65 others were filmed. Visit the all-stone Iraivan temple dedicated to the God Shiva. Take a scenic ride in a helicopter, ultralight or plane, hike the 'Grand Canyon' of Hawaii or if easy is more your style, lazily float through scenic mountain flumes, tunnels & waterways on an innertube. Transportation:Our two favorite websites for finding bargain airfares are Airfarewatchdog and Bookingbuddy. Sign up for fare alerts between any two cities on Airfarewatchdog. Bookingbuddy is also good for car rentals. Registration:Space is limited so register early. Priority will be given to those registering for the entire workshop ($325 or $385 packages). Registration for all other packages opens October 15th. Deposit is $200. Full payment due October 1st. Cancellations before Oct 1st deposit returned less $50. Cancelation after October 1st no refund unless your spot is filled. Please wait for confirmation that you have a spot before making airline & hotel reservations. The Teachers:Mary and Eddy are known for their clarity, humor, and special capacity to connect with their students. They tailor their teaching to your ability and needs and enjoy bringing the philosophy of yoga to life in their classes. They study regularly with the Iyengars in India and also stayed for a year of study in 2003. They are senior certified Iyengar instructors. Eddy holds a degree in exercise physiologist from UCLA and Mary attended the invitation only 1991 backbend intensive.
